Busy weekend. The neighbors had a Kentucky Derby party Saturday night, and we won 2nd place in the betting pool for drawing Bluegrass Cat's name out of the bowl- 30 dollars. Hey, don't knock it- it's the most money I've ever made on a horse.
Mike was writing about the formula for gin & tonic the other day, and for some reason that got me searching for images on the web, and this popped up. I think it's been altered a bit (well, duh), but still, it's in the right "spirit"-

I was talking with SWMBO on the phone as the last horses were being loaded into the gate. I said "The Derby's about to start."
She said "I know. Who's going to win?" I replied, "Barbaro." Two minutes later I looked like a genius. Except...I didn't have any money down. And to give proper credit, I had heard a former jockey interviewed on NPR the day before and he handicapped the race and picked Barbaro. He also said if Barbaro won convincingly, he could become the next great horse. 'Course, that could just be kpnurpf.
I was hoping Sinister Minister would win. What a great name for a horse...
I'm not sure, but I think that kkshsguw is Lisa Kudrow's younger sister.
Sinister Minister is a great name for anything. Way better than kesfnb.
