All jokes aside I'm two generation removed from having a possum on the menu. My grandparents came from dirt poor sharecropping families. And I myself have enjoyed Squirrel purlow as a kid. My grandfather's best friend wouldn't let one of the furry little dudes take up residence for very long without having it for dinner. He was a Depression era kid as well and never broke the habit.
