An Important Messsage from Barack
Dear Supporters,
throughout the long campaign it has been your support which has given me the drive to continue each day, so I wanted you to be the first to know the name of my choice for a running mate. The choice was not an easy one to make, and there were many qualified candidates.
From the beginning, I wanted to find someone who brought strengths to the table that would round out our campaign. Many Democrats and Independents have also expressed strong support for a female choice. And I wanted to chose a person with a strongly independent frame of mind, somebody who would tell me the truth rather than just what I wanted to hear.
I am glad to say I believe I have found that person. My choice has lived for many years close to the seats of power, and had the chance to not only observe the day-to-day running of our government in Washington, but to participate in it. She brings an accomplished resume to the campaign, and a reputation as a fighter and winner.
And lastly, I know that she can go toe to toe with John McCain and never flinch.
So today I am proud to announce that I have picked Cindy McCain to be my running mate.
On to Washington!
-Barack Obama

As I sit here hubby is flicking back and forth from NASCAR practice to CNN as we hear Obama MAY announce his VP choice tonight. Cameras are all pointed at the front doors of the three most likely candidates and they are putting extra coffee on in case he wants to wait till California gets home from work. (Why must they always be so far behind everything??)
Anyway, I feel like Obama has been treating this whole VP deal like the premieres to the movie Cloverfield. Just show us the damn monster! Please! Torture! Argh!
I am already on pins and needles wanting to know if I am going to lose my state senator, Biden. He has been here like since the dawn of time...going to be funny if he is not.
Heh. THAT would be some strange bedfellows, indeed!
I would have picked Cheney Lesbian Daughter
MI: Looks like you lose your Senator- well, you know, hopefully...
Mrs. Chili: Hopefully not.
Malach: Now that's an inspired choice.
Hilarious! There's an interesting article in the NYTimes today about Cindy's background and wealth. A cousin of hers used to keep my car running in his small shop in a small town not far from here. He has nothing good to say about her.
And Joe Biden is a great choice. I just wish the positions were reversed.
If I was hookin up wif Cindy McCain, Id do more than gathr my supportrs togethr.
Id wear a cup too, cause that bitch is a ball-cuttr!
Time now to let loose the hounds of political war and chew McCain and his VP pick a new one.
Wait, there's an election this year? Man, I can't believe they haven't covered this in the news.
I actually might vote for that ticket.
