A lovely late summer weekend in Hatfield! We held our annual backyard barbecue/croquet/badminton party yesterday, and today we walked down to the annual Hatfield Library Sale/Tractor Show/Antique Car Show/Volunteer Firefighter's Cookout. Hey, it's a small town- we have to multitask. But even if it's a small town, I like to think that we can throw a party as well as anyone out there.
Here are a few candid photos from the weekend festivities...

Wow, I have never seen Hippos, when I a have been hanging out in Hatfield Ma
Yep, pretty typical for a small town. That picture of the girl on the picnic table could have been taken in my backyard a time or two. Naturally, we got the mess all cleaned up before my wife got home.
Ahhhh... hockey season approaches.
Well durn, Colonel, you could have called us for the hockey thing! Or the blowing of the presidink.
So it was your party I took a nap. How the hell did I pass the Mason Dixie Line?
Why the hell did you invite Bush over?
Malach- Obviously you haven't been hanging out down by the River. That's where the action is.
Mike- Did you buy some beer-drinking squirrels for Carmen?
Phoebe- It's getting chilly here, and the team keeps complaining about "feeling a draft".
Sara- You said "Presidink"! I think that about sums this one up...
C.Rag- You took a left at the Wynn Dixie and arrived with Perry Mason.
Angryman- Because we had the one, but turkeys are always more entertaining in pairs.
I'm not sure if you should mention it to her (Hippo) or not, but the yellow g-string bikini makes her butt look big.
Damn...I've missed everything living in Washington, DC.
Aha! It's a 'What's Going On Here?' competition! OK, here are my entries:
1. The squirrel is testing the old theory that you get drunk quicker by drinking beer through a straw.
2. The dog thought he saw a pussy in there.
3. This is a hippo with no fashion sense. Yellow polka dots with that complexion?
4. These guys are wondering where the puck the other team went so fast.
5. This is the kind of lengths a girl will go to, to avoid going home with Joey Polanski.
6. That's a picture of a turkey foolin' around. And a big white bird of some kind.
PrePondering- I know- you'd think that if she learned anything from watching Project Runway, it would have been to stay away from polka dots. I'm troubled.
HTGT- Well, from what I hear DC is a swinging place when the Republicans are in town.
Reverend- if we had a medallion to give out, you'd have just won it!
I hang mostly at Nocachoke Park mostly when I am out there
Malach- ah! down with the biker chicks, gotcha.
