Random Sunday Night Musings-

Hank Steinbrenner "gets it". This has to do with the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry- anyone outside the Boston-NY sphere, feel free to move on. For the rest of you, Hank is my new favorite baseball exec. Well, ok, next to Our Theo.

Ok, the Republicans are always telling us to "support the troops". But then Neocon darling Matt Drudge reports that Prince Harry is serving as a forward air controller (a
very dangerous job) in Afghanistan, endangering his entire unit. So why are there no howls of outrage and taunts of "traitor" from the Republican pundits?

Is Mike Huckabee the Ralph Nader of the Republican party?

Speaking of Ralphie, is it a really
bad sin to pray for somebody to get hit by a falling satellite?

I see that the new movie "The Other Boleyn Girl" is being panned by the critics. This is a movie that features both Scarlett Johansen and Natalie Portman, often in minimum clothing. Does anyone really care if the script is any good?

Now that scientists have found that 80% of snowflakes are formed around bacteria, I know at least 5 people who will never go outside again between December and May.

I watched The Girl with the Pearl Earing just because Scarlett Johansen was in it.
It was a long & boring but visually beautiful in several ways.

I knew snowflakes are even. They are always mocking me. Damn you white powder!

I think Hank is out brained by the currents owners, awesome move to make him a member of Red Sox Nation

I sure with the Romney boys or the Bush girls would take a lesson from Prince Harry. Not that I'll be holding my breath.

A Huckabee/Nader ticket - a perfect storm of whackjobbedness.

MMMMM....Phoebe said "bush" girls.

It just dawned on me the other day that Ralph Nader spoke at my college graduation. Bastard's been dogging me ever since. He was boring as hell even back then. I don't know what he said because I got up to go get a drink of water and didn't go back.

What's even worse about Prince Harry (or better depending on your point of view) is that he was over there doing his part which is more than anyone can say about any "American Royalty." They are always too busy hiding behind their daddy's money.

C.Rag: Snowflakes are all rotten to the core. Bad eggs!

Malach: I think Hank should run for President.

Phoebe: Huckabee/Nader- you just know the Gods would all be howling over doing that to Mankind.

Mike: "Doing his part...". Huh. I don't know what you are talking about. Remember, Our Mitt told that interviewer last year that his four sons were serving their country in just as important way as any soldier in Iraq, by working to make him Presidick.

I guess they dind't wok hard enough, because all he ended up being was a dick.

I've been saying the same thing about your so-called "red Sox nation" since I first heard that load of horse shit. always slapping yourselves on the back for filling up camden yards, big whoop, yankee fans have owned that place since it opened. Go to a third world country see how many boston hats you see then look around for the interlocking NY...it's everywhere. it's a yankee world.

Scarlett Johannson, Natalie Portman and Eric Bana all in the same movie...who the hell cares what they're saying?

I don't think Ralph will have much of an effect. I'm glad to see that someone w/a big name is running as a third-party candidate, though. People need to be reminded of the problems of ballot access for those who aren't Dems or Reps.

TV: Well, of course there are Yankees World Champion shirts everywhere- all the leagues give the losers shirts to underdeveloped countries.

Kerstin: Scarlett... Nataliee.. nobody cares...

Angryman: Ralphie is ded to me. Has hen been hit by a bus yet?

T-Bird: Scarlett... HEY! You can't do that on our rug.... clean up on Aisle Six!1111

I'll just turn the sound off when I watch the movie, as I did with "Cliffhanger" and "Waterworld."

HungryMo: That's a great idea- I've never made it more than half an hour into Waterworld yet, but maybe with the sound off...

Kelly: Well, of course most of what you read here is utterly ridiculous, so the snowflake thing is probably something I just made up. I can't imagine it really being true.

PrePo: I only eat yellow snow.

MI: We'll drag you out just in time to vote in November.
