I know that Summer still officially has three weeks left, but doesn't Labor Day always seem like the end of the Good Times? Well, even though the symbolic end of Summer makes me feel like this-
And soon the leaves will begin to turn and it will be Halloween-
Everyone here at MMB is going to take full advantage of one last glorious Weekend!

Yeah this weekend is usually the symbolic end of summer. Around here, it actually is starting to feel like fall. The nights are getting really cool and I am already seeing some color on the leaves in the trees.
Oh well, it was good while it lasted.
I don't suppose your new lawnmower with the big tits will also blow snow?
Yup, it's starting. The last two nights, it's even been a little cool outside. Fine with me. I love fall. Always have. You guys can keep your overheated Julys and Augusts. I love my Septs and Octs.
Phoebe- Septs and Octs are ok, it's just that they're always followed by Novs, Decs and (ugh) Jans and Febs.
Here's what I think of Jans and Febs.
I'm with phoebe. Fall can't come soon enough. October and February are my favorite months. (Although I don't have to contend with the snow that you do. Guess that would make me feel like arming my pussy, too.)
HTGT- Along about February we always feel that Global Warming cannot get here fast enough.
My brother lives up in your neck of the woods and is completely and permanently 100% aggravated with the snow. I have a personal policy of not speaking to him until I know it's melted. Too dangerous.
HTGT- You are a wise woman. Here's the sort of thing I'm complaining about- these pictures were taken on December 6, 2003, back when we lived in Cambridge.
brrr.
Punkin Pukin!
Ansel Adams coonta done bettr!
I'd still rather have snow than this smelly, wilting, moist heat we've got in San Diego at the moment.
Joey- Whatever it's aesthetic limitations, I've always thought that Ansel Adams Pumpkin Period is unfairly overlooked by critics.
Kaytie- yeah, I'm not a fan of humid weather either. But I'm not fussy- a nice, crisp 85 degrees with 36% humidity is fine.
Hey! What happened to the very cool blinking kitty eyes?
So, you're going to have sex w/a horse in the ocean?
HGTG- They are taking the long weekend off.
Angryman- actually, the kitty with the gun and the horse are a bit of an, um, "item", so I'm stuck with the pumpkin again.
Hey, I went to Water Wizz today
Malach- I think I've driven by that, but never stopped in. We could have used both some water and some wizz here today.
Down here in the South it's still freaking hot. Fall won't come to us until another month or so.
Meanwhile, this end of the globe we start the trek through Spring into Summer... and a hot hot hot one I'm predicting.
Oh, Colonel, you are such an animal!!!
Cooling off here too! Only expecting 102 tomorrow. What?? It was 105 yesterday.
C.Rag- I have a brother-in-law who lives in Florida who sends us reports whenever we complain about it being too hot. Then we ask whether he's packed and ready to dodge this year's hurricanes...
Reverend- Ah, Spring! I want two houses, one in each hemisphere, then it would always be spring and summer.
Catalyst- Living out here in the Valley you hafta blend in, or something is likely to eat you.
Sara- But is it a dry heat?
Yes, dry like when you put your head in your oven.
I've always been one for the clothes dryer, but hey, I'm not judgemental.
Perversely, I'd like a different house in each hemisphere so I could have perpetual Autumn & Winter...
haha very nice brother, hope you don't mind but I borrowed your 'seahorse' image for my blog.
if this is causing you grief for some reason, please inform me so that I may remove it ASAP. the post can be seen on my blog!
