I was talking to a friend of mine today (age 72) and mentioned Updike's death. He said, "who's he?"I truly was at a loss for words.

Man, folks have been dropping like flies this year. Kinda young to kick the bucket, but his writing will keep him alive forever. More than most of us will ever accomplish in this life.
