Mutter Mutter...

We are supposed to be enjoying Spring here. I spent last week clearing out the yard and flower beds, and NOW we are enjoying Spring??? It looks more like rain to me. Two solid days of rain, but finally this afternoon the sun oeeked out. See the bottom of this post...

I spent an hour watching all the video of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright in his appearance at the National Press Club yesterday. After having watched the actual video, I certainly do find a few things I disagree with him on, but most of what the media says he said is not really what he did say. Huge surprise. I was disappointed with the way Barack Obama reacted today, but if it helps put an end to the story once and for all, I suppose he had to do it.

Dik Cheney obviously wants to bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran. The really worrisome thing is that so does John McCain. WTF?? most Iranians LIKE us. It's waaaay past time to get over the notion that international problems can be solved by bombing people.

We are truly a sorry nation, if we continue on this path.

On the other hand, here is the view out my office window. The sun was not shining, so you cannot quite tell that the tree to the right is a Redbud, but the tree in the distance is a tall cherry.

ahhhhhhh....

I think Obama was pissed off and hurt that Wright accused him of political posturing, essentially saying he was insincere. I don't know what all is going on, but I think it's personal.

But I don't fuckin' care because we just need to get this behind us so Obama can win this damn nomination and presidency. Right now, he's running against two Clintons, McCain AND the entire media, and the fact that he has not collapsed is evidence enough for me that he can handle the presidency.

Let's go sit on that porch, have a glass of wine and let the rest of the world go by.

Obama tried to be loyal to his friend but his friend used that loyalty for his own benefit and in the process hurt Obama. Obama did exactly the right thing. He seemed to be sad to have to do it and I think he was pissed at Wright, as well he should be.

Now let's get bush getting Obama elected as our next president.

Man, that looks like a comfortable place to sit and have a nice Gin and tonic--or glass of ice water.

Regardless of my dislike for Rev. Wright, I still like Obama and think he is infinitely better than any of the other candidates. I only hope that everyone else feels the same way. Thank God the primaries aren't until next week. At least he has a week to get this all behind him.

Heard a quote the other day from McCain that I can't find anymore but he is reported to have said something to the effect to a neocon-ish audience that there "would be more wars". Iran was implied.

Not happy with Wright over his speech but what the hay? First amendment trumps just about everything but I do feel he should have thought of Obama before running off at the mouth.

You lucky bastard. That's the porch I've always dreamed of.
