It turns out that Fred Rogers is to blame for everything, but before we get to that, we have a -
Philosophical Query for the Day-
What is the Real Problem with Morning?
a) it's an every-day event, and that's just too much. Can we cut it back to, say, 4 days a week?
b) people expect you to do stuff when it happens.
c) it comes before lunch.

So, the fine folks at Fox, in collaboration with a professor at that icon of higher learning, Louisiana State University, have declared jihad on Mister Rogers for destroying entire generations of young Americans.
Of course, before going out and burning your King Friday the 13th puppet, one might want to take a moment and consider the source...

Oh. MY. GOD. I'm practically speechless. REALLY?! They BROADCAST this crap?!
Crap is about all they broadcast.
Well, ok, they also broadcast lies, libel and sedition. But yeah, lots of crap.
So brave of them to criticize now that he's dead.
KML- Yes, I think they've discovered it's easier to hit an immobile target.
I can't believe I just wasted minutes of my life listening to that crap.
I saw Mr. Roger's at the BGSU Spring 1987 commencement ceremony. He led a stadium full of people in a capella version of It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, and he gave a lovely talk about being a good person in the world.
The other speaker was William F. Buckley. I'm sure it was a very elegant speech, but I don't remember a word of it. But Mr. Roger's, I'll never forget.
Oh, and regarding mornings, they're easy. If you ignore them long enough, they go away, at least until the next day.
And one more thing, please forgive my indiscriminate use of apostrophes. It's actually still morning here.
I hate mornings. The pubs are shut.
Haven't a scooby who Rogers is....
Well, he wasn't a morning person.
Morning, night, day...it's all the same right now to me.
So, what do they have to say about
Sponge Bob Square Pants? Hanna Montana? (real self esteem booster for girls who can never be skinny enough or "pretty" enough trying to live up to impossible standards)
Mr. Rogers was a freak'n minister. He never taught you not to work, but to love yourself. If you cannot do that, you will not get anywhere in the world.
It was an entire generation of BAD parenting that screwed things up.
Fred Rogers, Communist
This is simply unbelievable. Doocy and the rest of that small group are idiots.
I read about this at Mrs. Chili's.
THIS IS COMPLETELY MENTAL.
But you knew that.
Sadly, my FOX-TV watching mother can't discern how insane this is...
Could you be my honorary parent, Colonel, Colonel?
First off, this is batshit freakin insane. Second, they keep talking about this "new generation", kids in college, etc, but I am 40 and watched Mr. Rogers, so you can't point to the "new generation" vs previous ones and blame Mr. Rogers.
I'm curious (or maybe I'm not) about what kind of kids programming these assclowns would welcome.
Gina- EXACTLY!! I kept watching these idiots thinking "you're no older than me, and I was raised on Mmister Rogers...
