In the Spirit of the Season we went down to the Christmas Tree Farm today and killed a tree for the Baby Jesus. Call me old-fashioned, but nothing quite celebrates the season of Joy, Peace and Love like killing something with a chainsaw.

Wow, this past election season got to you, didn't it? Seeing how this past season was so traumatic to so many of us...I guess we can let ths slip.

We didn't get a chance to kill a tree for Baby Jesus yet - we were too busy thawing out from the frickin' ice storm. The power's back on and, thank you Baby Jesus, we have internet! The girls are out of school tomorrow - goddess help me - because the whole city isn't yet back on the grid and a bunch of people are still in shelters. Sigh. And here I was, trying to be POSITIVE about winter this year...
