I was raised Catholic as well, but sodomy is a sin, no doubt about it. Marriage is a sanctual thing- man and woman. You can't procreate with 2 men or 2 women. Get it meathead?
1. Religious marriage is a "sanctual" (not a real word, but never mind) thing, but nobody has *ever* been talking about religious marriage. We have always been talking civil marriage, which is *NOT* "sanctual" (not a real word, but never mind). The church has no place in advocating for or against anything to do with civil marriage.
2. We live in a secular Republic. The laws have no basis in religion. If you want to have a country with religious-based laws, try Iran.
3. If pro-creation is the point of marriage, then my wife and I, who have no children, cannot be really married. We also need to outlaw marriage between any heterosexual couple who, for whatever reason, cannot or do not intend to procreate. Makes no sense to me, but that's what you are advocating.
4. call me "meathead" one more time, my most esteemed guest, and you'll be booted out and banned from returning.

I enjoyed the hell out of that. Of course I can't seen to find that naked chick doing the PETA ad that pissed off the Catholics.
