I knew he was very ill - too ill to attend his sister's funeral services a few weeks ago - but I've not yet heard that he'd finally been released from his suffering. Godspeed, Ted.
I know I will sound like a heartless bastard but one of the Bush morons or sneering Cheneys will pass at some point and that will be a nice change of pace.
Kinda weird that he is gone. He has been a Senator as long as I been on this planet. I have always been fascinated with the Kennedy family and stories too.
No, he was not perfect as many are always quick to point out. No one is, no one can be. But he did a LOT for the disabled and under privileged and for that I will always be grateful. That is what folks need to remember and focus on.

I saw an editorial cartoon the other day that showed Bobby and John walking with him in heaven. It really got to me somehow.
